It’s not quite over yet, but what a year this has been! Perhaps the spaghetti western kind…but certainly a good, bad, and ugly kind of year! It’s my hope that 2015 is far, far better….not just for me and my family but for people all around the world. With all that is dark and seemingly hopeless here at home, over mountains, and across oceans….it’s just got to get better….don’t you think!
So for this Christmas, I am choosing to view the world through rose-colored glasses, if only for a day or two. Those who march through the streets chanting hatred….those who kill in the name of religion…those who are hungry and cold….and those who are eaten-up inside by anger and resentment…..well….I’m choosing to believe that a magic wand has gloriously transformed life for all of them…..if only in my dreams. Perhaps if we all dreamed in this magic wand there would be more peace and beauty in the world.
On this Christmas Eve, believers and non-believers alike, I’m wishing all a wonderful Christmas day. Let it be filled with nothing but love and joy and let’s all strive (me, included) to keep love and joy in our hearts for all the days of the year, not just at Christmas.
Peace from ‘Bama-land.
